Tony Ward Chairman
Tony is an acknowledged expert in mortgages, risk management and funding solutions. During his career, which spans 40 years, he developed Kleinwort Benson's innovative mortgage originating and securitisation business, Mortgage Funding Corporation PLC, was CFO then CEO of mortgage lender Britannic Money (now Mortgage Trust). He is a Member of both the Association of Corporate Treasurers and the Institute of Credit Management, is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and is also a past Deputy Chairman of the Council of Mortgage Lenders and Chairman of Intermediary Mortgage Lenders Association.
Tony is also President and CEO of Clayton Euro Risk, Chairman of Capita Mortgage Services (a division of Capita PLC) and has led Home Funding since 2006.
Robert Burgess Non-Exec Director
Robert has more than 25 years' financial services experience, primarily in the Retail, SME and Wealth arenas. He was part of the Group Executive Resource at Lloyds Banking Group, holding a number of senior positions including Executive Director Lloyds TSB Scotland and Regional Director London & South East. He was also responsible for the completion of the integration of Scottish Widows post acquisition.
Following stints at the Bank of England in mid-2008 (credit crisis), and as an Executive Director at Thomas Cook UK&I he was appointed CEO Alliance Trust Savings, the Banking & Wealth Subsidiary of Alliance Trust PLC, on which he was also a main board member. Latterly, he was CEO and Co‐founder with Liberum of Exchange Associates Ltd, the first dedicated listed Institutional lender and provider of permanent investor capital to the peer-to-peer sector. The business was sold privately to a hedge fund immediately prior to planned IPO in December 2013.
He is a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Board, Credit & Remco committees at OakNorth, the challenger bank focused on SME lending. Robert is also a trustee of Kids Out, a UK children's charity.
John Jenkins Non‐Exec Director
John Jenkins is CEO at Amicus PLC having joined in May 2014, after eight years as CEO of GE Capital in the UK.
Whilst at GE Capital, he successfully grew the business and unified five core businesses that covered multiple markets and sites covering factoring, invoice discounting, asset based lending, distribution and trade finance, equipment leasing, fleet leasing and corporate aircraft across SME's, UK Mid Market and Corporate sectors. He also oversaw the creation and launch of a brand new bank in 2012, GE Capital Direct.
Prior to GE Capital, John spent 17 years at Lloyds TSB, ending as Sales Director of the commercial finance business and a key member of its strategic management board.
Julian Sutton Non-Exec Director
Julian has over 30 years' experience in financial services, primarily in investment banking. He spent 19 years at Lehman Brothers in senior lead business and region controller roles in both London and New York. Julian was one of the few Managing Directors retained by the insolvency practitioners PWC to assist with winding down Lehman Brothers post its failure in 2008, and worked as the expert witness in the criminal proceedings brought against the proprietor of the collapsed hedge fund Weavering Capital. Prior to Lehman Julian worked in senior product controller positions in Finance at Banque Paribas and James Capel. A qualified accountant and Chairman of the Half Moon Young Peoples Theatre in London, Julian is currently working as a regulatory specialist running major change initiatives for a leading investment management company.

James is co‐founder and ex‐CEO of Zopa, the world's first peer‐to‐peer lending platform. Prior to that, he was Strategy Director of Egg, the ground‐breaking online bank. James is currently a partner at The Foundation, a leading growth and innovation consultancy. He is also a Trustee for the RSPB, a Trustee and former CEO of Green Thing and a chair of GEN Community.
Michael has a track record of over twenty years' success at major universal banks (Credit Suisse, ABN Amro, UniCredit). He has grown and re-structured businesses in developing and developed markets and run global functions (research) and businesses (equities). Michael holds degrees from the University of Oxford and the University of London and is the founder and CEO of Assembly Capital Partners - assemblycapitaladvisors.com - a VC focused purely on the FinTech domain.
Andy is the Managing Director of Quidco, the UK's leading cashback site with over 4 million members. Prior to this he was a Director & Co‐Founder of Adparo Solutions, an IT consultancy specialising in internet banking, credit card & mobile payments. He is a mentor at Seedcamp and has an MBA from London Business School.
Stratos, a qualified Chartered Accountant, has worked in various positions in construction, finance and venture capital in Europe and the Middle East. He headed the Capital Markets division of a European bank where he built a structuring and sales team in debt and equity products. Stratos more recently managed a UK-based real estate fund with significant presence in Central Europe.
