Fast, safe and built for mobile: Pay by Bank at Landbay

We’ve introduced Pay by Bank, a new way to make application payments, including admin and valuation fees, using Open Banking technology payments via a mobile browser. Whether your client is making the payment or you’re helping them through the process, this new option is designed to be quicker, secure, and more convenient.
Rather than using a desktop, inputting card numbers and dealing with delays, Pay by Bank lets users make application payments directly from a bank account using a mobile browser. It’s a fully digital journey that takes seconds to complete.
Why switch to Pay by Bank?
Powered by Open Banking, it uses bank-grade authentication and Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), including fingerprint or face ID. There’s no need to enter or store card details, reducing exposure to fraud and keeping sensitive data out of the payment flow.
Another key advantage is speed. Pay by Bank payments are settled in real time or within hours, compared to the typical 2–3 day delay seen with card payments. That means faster confirmation and less waiting around.
The process is also extremely straightforward. The user selects their bank and authorises the payment via their banking app or a secure redirect. There’s no need to type in billing addresses or long card numbers, making it ideal for mobile users. And because payments are authorised directly by the customer, disputes are rare.
