2 October 2026
A Landbay Spotlight session with Kallum Pickering.
About the spotlight
The Bank held rates at 3.75% in September, but there’s still plenty of debate about where rates could go next. With the Budget fast approaching, now’s a good time to understand what could come next for rates, inflation and the wider economy.
Join Kallum Pickering, Chief Economist at Peel Hunt and a Daily Telegraph columnist, a regular contributor to Bloomberg, CNBC and the BBC, to hear what could come next for rates, inflation and the UK economy.
What we’ll cover:
- Where Bank Rate could go from here
- The outlook for UK economic growth
- The impact of sustained increases in oil prices on inflation
- What to look out for in the Budget at the end of October
